Working Holiday Visa

The Working Holiday Visa is a category of the International Experience Canada (IEC) program. The IEC program is for young adults, from 18 to 25 years old, to come work and travel in Canada.

It is a government program designed to help gain valuable international work experience and improve language skills in English and/or French whilst working in Canada to fund the trip of a lifetime.

The Working Holiday Visa is for you if:

  • you don't have a job offer
  • you want to work for more than one employer in Canada
  • you want to work in more than one location
  • you would like to earn some money so that you can travel

The Working Holiday Visa is an Open Work Permit that lets you work for almost any employer in Canada.

To participate in this program, your country must have a Youth Mobility Agreement with Canada. Some countries only allow you to participate once, or twice but in different categories.

Because each country is different, it is important to make sure that you are eligible to apply. Book a Visa Consultation today with one of our Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants to find out more about this program and to know if you meet the eligibility criteria.
