Express Entry

 

The Express Entry Program is a Federal immigration system that aims to bring qualified people to Canada.

The following factors will earn you points towards this system:

  • Age
  • Education Level
  • Language Proficiency - English and/or French
  • Foreign Work Experience
  • Canadian Work Experience

There are three programs managed through Express Entry:

1. Canadian Experience Class (CEC): This program is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience. - You must have, at least, 12 months of full-time Canadian work experience, or the equivalent of part-time work, within 3 years of the application. - You must have a proper official Work Permit for your work experience to count towards this program.

2. Federal Skilled Worker (FSW): Program for skilled workers with foreign work experience. This is the most popular among people who want to make Canada their permanent home.

3. Federal Skilled Trades Worker (FSTW): Program for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade. - You must have a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification amongst other factors.
